AD Part 1,1,1,1,2,1,1,2,1

Part 1 (Unavailable) Part 2 (Unavailable) Back www.youtube.com Beginning www.youtube.com Link www.writing.com It wasn't before long until Cream felt her bladder begin to fill. As long as she was playing a baby, she decided that she might as well wet herself, and that's just what she did. At first Cream thought that she would just tell Amy that she needed a new diaper, but then decided to take a more babyish aproach to it. Cream bawled just like a baby. "Awwww, whats wong baby Cweam," Amy asked to the diapered rabbit girl. "I go peepee," Cream said, still keeping up her crying afterwards. "Well don't worry. Mommy Amy's gonna give joo's a new didee now," Amy replied in a cooing voice, as she picked up cream with some difficulty, and carried her to a nearby table. At this point, Cream stopped her whine, and went down to only a slight whimper. Amy went off for a while, then returned with a pack of diapers, some whips, and a container of talcum powder. Untaping Creams diaper and lifting her legs, Amy began wiping the rabbits urine covered rear clean. After doing this, she put a clean, unfolded diaper under Creams rear, and began applying the talcum powder. Having this finished, she began to fold the diaper on Cream, who was busy sucking her thumb playfully, and Amy started cooing an unintelligable language as she taped the diaper sides together. "Alwight den, wittwe Cweam,..."

5 Top Places to Find the Best Baby Names and Their Meanings

Is it time to choose that special baby girl name or baby boy name? If so, then let us look at the 5 top places to find the best baby names and their meanings.

A magnificent baby name is a once-in-a-lifetime gift from a parent to a child. A wonderful first name will be the joy of that child as he, or she, grows up. In their minds and in ours, he will always be the only William, and she the only Charlotte, in the world.

So, grab a cup of coffee and pull up a chair while we go in search of the best baby names in 5 top places.

Here we go.

Baby Names from the Gods and Goddesses

These names are from the ancient Greeks and Romans. Their gods and goddesses had mighty and beautiful names that are still popular today. Here are just a few of them:

Selena - (Greek) meaning "The Moon." Selena is the moon goddess.
Minerva - (Greek) meaning "Wisdom" or "Mind." Minerva is the goddess of wisdom.
Jason - (Greek) meaning "The Healer." Jason is the legendary hero of Greek mythology.
Hectior - (Greek) meaning "One Who Holds Fast." Hector was the fearless hero of the Trojan War.

Baby Names from last Names

In the 19th Century and still today, it is a tried and true custom to name children after a family name. It might be the mother's maiden name, or that of a grandfather or grandmother. Here are two popular last names used as first names.

Ashley - (Old English) meaning "One who Dwells in the Ash-Tree Grove." Ashley is a popular girl's name.
Hayden - (Old German) meaning "One from the Hedged Hill." Hayden is a boy's name.

Baby Names from Heros and Heroines

These heros and heroines are from the great literature of the world.

Emma is the beloved heroine of "Madame Bovary" by Gustave Flaubert.

Adam is the unforgettable hero of Vladimir Nabokov's "Bend Sinister."

Baby Names from Family and Close Friends

Many new parents name their children after themselves or after their own parents. It is very common that the first born boy is given the father's name. But a child may receive grandmother Hallie's name, or that of Uncle Louis, or beautiful Aunt Margaret.

It is not unheard of that a child is named after his or her godparent. And, of course, many children are named after a close friend of the parents.

Baby Names Chosen by the Baby

Very often, the baby himself, or herself, inspires a name in the mind of a parent. A child may be named for a certain quality. Such names might be Loyal, Joy, Faith, Ernest, Hope, or Grace.

Sometimes, a parent gives a child an inspiring name such as Magnus for a boy, meaning "Great." Or a little girl may be named Felicia, meaning "Happiness."

Well, that is about it. I can only hope these 5 top places to find the best baby names and their meanings will help you find a magnificent name.

Sanskrit Baby Names

The Sanskrit baby names are fast becoming the favorite choice for many parents. It is probably due to the distinct romantic meaning, unique sound, and magical connotation of the baby names. Also, the Hindu religion and Yoga are increasing in popularity.

Sanskrit is an Indo-European language which is the basis for many languages in India. The language is one of the 23 official languages of India. Sanskrit can be seen in ancient literature which includes poetry, drama, religious texts, science, and philosophy. The hymns and mantras wildly use Sanskrit as well.

The yoga masters see the importance to teach yoga poses with the respective Sanskrit names. Teaching the language, they stir the curiosity, inspiration, and interest in yoga. For thousands of years, the Sanskrit was an oral language. It is evident in the spiritual chants and mantras of yoga.

The Sanskrit or Indian baby names convey nature, feelings, and love. For example, Muskan means smile, Khoobsoorat means beautiful, and Khushoo means beautiful smell.

The Hindu baby names have the tendency to be Sanskrit. For example, Krishna (black or dark), Ajit (Invincible), Shiva (benign, kind, or auspicious), and Indra (possessing drops of rain) are Hindu male baby names. Laksmi (sign or mark), and Sita (furrow) are Hindu female baby names.

Krishna, Shiva, and Indra are the names of Hindu gods. Krishna is a Hindu god who is incarnated from god Vishnu. And, Shiva who is the husband of the mother goddess of Parvati is the Hindu god of destruction and restoration. Finally, Indra is a Hindu warrior god of the sky and rain.

Laksmi and Sita are the names of Hindu goddesses. Laksmi is a Hindu goddess of prosperity, good luck, and beauty, while Sita is the Hindu goddess of harvests.

The Sikh baby names have the tendency lean to be Sanskrit too. The name is divided into first and second part. The first part contains har, bal, and man, while the second part contains inder, deep, and pal. For example, Harinder (Hindu god Hari and Hindu god Indra), and Mandeep (lamp of the mind) are Sikh baby names.

Does Your Child Wet The Bed? Don't Worry, It's More Common Than You Think

Wetting the bed or urinating while sleeping at night, also known as nocturnal enuresis, or bed wetting in colloquial terminology is quite normal and common among children most likely children up to 6 and 7 years of age. Furthermore; children that comprise the bed wetting community are made up of more boys than girls. According to worldwide researches and studies, male bed wetters regardless of their age and make up constitute for more than 60% of the total population of people with nocturnal enuresis. Most female kids who wet the bed will outgrow the problem by the age of 6, the latest on average, while male bed wetters will only begin outgrowing the condition and eradicate nocturnal enuresis at the age of 7. By the time these kids reach the age of 10, studies show that children who are still bothered by bed wetting are down to 0.5 to 2 percent of the population. This tells us how bed wetting is normal and happens to just about anyone. This however, is not how most parents and families perceive it to be as they choose to deal with the problems themselves and hide it from others, usually resulting in improper handling of the situation.

Contrary to what we may know about nocturnal enuresis or bedwetting, it is actually a common problem that is felt worldwide. People just don't have a lot of awareness about its real situation because most parents who have children who wets their bed at night wouldn't actually spill out the beans and admit to everyone how their children are suffering from the condition. They can either be too proud a parent or they simply do not want themselves or their kids to be embarrassed and be the subject of jokes that they choose to hide these to themselves. This shouldn't be the case though, as parents should not be ashamed of the condition because it is very normal and acceptable nowadays. To prove this point, physicians actually consider bed wetting as a self-limiting problem that most, if not all, children will eventually outgrow. According to them; bed wetting is not exactly a medical disorder or a behavioral misstep, rather, it is a phase or a cycle in a man's body when they are still unable to take full control of their body systems, especially at night time during sleep. They explain further how bed wetting is not caused and brought about by behavioral problems, abnormalities, medical mishaps, and diseases in children.

Doctors would say that bed wetting in children is due to their small bladder capacity and their inability to control their urination. Even potty trained kids are prone to bed wetting because it happens at night when kids are asleep where their control of their body systems are at a relaxed state.

Even thought common, Bed wetting can be treated if you child is past the age of development where they should stay dry at night. Talk to you family doctor about this issue, they may recommend something like the malem bedwetting alarm to help train them to stay dry at night.

Resolve to Switch to Cloth Diapers in the New Year

Santa has come and gone, the relative have fawned over pictures of the baby in adorable new outfits, and you are left with a house to clean and resolutions to make in the New Year. These promises to ourselves mainly involve things we can do to better ourselves in terms of health and attitude, but perhaps this year for you new parents (aside from resolving to better organize your time) may want to consider a resolution that helps your baby and the environment. Switch to cloth diapers from disposables in 2011.

Taking this step isn't as daunting as you think. When you weigh the pros and cons of using cloth as opposed to disposables, you will find the column of pluses is much longer:

  • Cloth diapers and accessories save you money in the long run. Disposables over the three years of a baby's growth can amount to several thousand dollars, while purchasing about twenty reusable diapers that adjust to the baby's size are about a few hundred.

  • You're reducing your carbon footprint and the waste that goes to landfills. Cloth offers an opportunity to reuse covers and inserts, and you'll be surprised to see your water bill doesn't skyrocket.

  • These diapers are quite fashionable. The delightful patterns and colors turn heads when you go to the park, and cloth diapers are easy to travel with, too. All you need is a quality wet bag to carry along, and you wash when you get home.

  • With cloth you use material that is soft and safe on a baby's sensitive skin. If you knew exactly what kind of chemicals go into disposable diapers, you definitely wouldn't put them on your child!

If you are still skittish about making this your New Year's resolution, start slowly. One doesn't expect to lose all the weight in January, so try a few days with cloth to start, then expand to a week. As you become accustomed to using cloth diapers, you'll satisfy this resolution in no time!

OiOi Diaper Bags

OiOi diaper Bags is the top baby bag designer in Australia. Created by a mother on the birth of her own daughter over 10 years ago, these nappy sacks have caught on like wildfire not only in Lisa Bennetts own Australia, but in the UK and the United States as well. The design back ground of the founding mother led her to desire for herself and all mothers to look amazing and feel great, even while stowing dirty diapers in their purses. OiOi diaper Bags have become renowned for their vibrant designs, high quality, and reliable functionality. Lisa handmade her first bag in 1997 and now has over 40 styles and 5 major lines to choose from.

OiOi diaper Bags: Hobo and Hobo Sack

The Hobo is a larger, 15"L x 13"H x 6"D, simply styled baby bag with adjustable shoulder strap. It includes everything a busy mommy needs and is dressed in lusciously soft leather, animal prints, Moroccan tile patterns, bright florals, quilted solids, and simple geometric patterns in nylon canvas with a nylon washable lining. The Hobo is one of the most popular OiOi baby bags with over a dozen fabric designs to choose from. It features 2 outer pockets, internal elasticized pockets, an insulated bottle holder (good for up to 2 hours) and a large padded microfiber changing pad. The new all leather style has an additional two exterior pockets as well as the fixed stroller straps which we love.

The Hobo Sack is an adorable rounded version of the Hobo and measures a mighty 18.5" H x 17" W.  It has all the amenities of its older sibling plus a zipper top and a total of 4 pockets on the outside, 2 of which are insulated for bottles. We do wish that the stroller straps were included in the Hobo Sack as well.

OiOi Diaper Bags: Messenger

The Messenger style diaper bags are the next most popular. They also come in a joyous assortment of solids, animal prints and geometric designs in nylon canvas, with brilliant vermillion, azure blue, jade, acacia green, fuschia, and yellow linings. The features of the Messenger include, insulated side pockets for bottles and snacks, an external pockets for Mommy's keys, wallet, and cell phone, large padded microfiber changing mat, insulated bottle holder, a zip top wet bag, and a magnetic snap closure to keep everything in place and yet easy to access even if your hands are full. We wish that the messenger also had stroller straps.

OiOi Diaper Bags: Tote, Back pack, and Carry All

The Tote, Backpack, and Carry All styles are special designs that fit the unique needs of mothers and fathers who are on the go, walking into the board room, or who just love a little something special. The tote is a generous size, 15.5"L x 13.5"H x 6"D, and contains all the goodies we have come to expect from OiOi. We do wish though that they would add stroller straps to the Tote. The Backpack is 17.5 "H x 11"W x 5.5" deep; a compact and versatile bag that looks good enough for the office and finally the Carry All which makes a great weekender.

Does Your Baby Have Colic?

There is nothing more heart wrenching to a parent then hearing their young baby crying and not able to sooth and quiet it down. Some times of the day seem worse than others. I know this through first had experience. While our first son was a very happy baby, our second son was just the opposite. What is important is to understand what colic is and what it is not, and to know that it will eventually pass. Our second son is now six months and a very happy content experience, but oh what an experience those first few months were.

First, what is colic?

Some babies are fussy or high need and like a lot of contact. A lot of times this is misinterpreted as colic. A colicky baby cries when there is no apparent reason. Whereas a high need baby will stop crying once you figured out what is wrong -hunger, tired, wet diapers, fever to name a few - a colicky baby will not. Our doctor at first thought our son had gas, but gas drops did not help at all. Common indications of colic include crying for no apparent reason and lasting for at least 3 weeks, periods of crying 3 or more times per week and the periods in which the baby cries is at least 3 hours per day. The good news is colic usually disappears at three or four months. Our son was about four months when the symptoms started subsiding.

Calming a colicky baby

While there is no cure, there are some things that can be done that may help a baby with colic. Try baby wearing. Carrying your baby around in a sling may help comfort them. They may feel more reassured and safe. For many babies the rocking motion and swaying motion of being carried around may help. Other babies love music. Try different soothing songs as you cuddle and comfort your baby. Sometimes water might help, give you baby a warm gentle bath. One other technique you can try is the 'football hold'. To do this you hold your baby in one arm, with it head in the palm of the hand or the crook of the arm and your forearm pressing gently against his or hers stomach. This can also help with gassy babies as the gentle pressure can help relieve some of the gas. Make sure you support your child's back with your other hand or against your body. A life saver for us was gripe water. Until recently it has been hard to get in the U.S. but has been used a lot in Europe. Make sure you check with your doctor before trying or introducing anything new.

Summary

If your child exhibits signs of colic, always check with a health care profession for correct diagnosis. Taking care of a colicky baby can be very time-consuming, nerve wrenching, and exhausting to both parents. If you are lucky enough to have family around try to take advantage of them to get a short break. Remember, just because you baby has colic does not mean you are not a good parent. Life happens and colic happens. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it.

More information on Colic is available in the Baby section of More4kids - Parenting and Family Information and Resources.

A Mommy's Best Tool is a Disposable Newborn Diaper

A new mommy might panic when her newborn daughter defecates more than 6 times everyday. This is normal and it only indicates that the baby's body is adjusting to its new environment out of the mommy's tummy. This should stop after a month. After that, it's still quite normal for a baby to pass her bowels at least 3 times a day. During the early stages of your newborn's life, your best tool would be a disposable newborn diaper. These diapers are convenient because they can be thrown out or disposed off conveniently. You'll appreciate their use, specially if you go out on the road in long trips with your baby.

Don't get me wrong. A cloth diaper is very much ideal specially if you want to care for the environment. If at all, try to use a disposable newborn diaper sparingly after the first few months of frequent defecation. After those months, go and use cloth diapers as they are environmentally friendly and could save you a lot of money because they are reusable.

When choosing a disposable newborn diaper, try to find the balance between the cost and the benefits. Certain disposable diapers have certain special features that are peculiar to it. Pampers Swaddlers for example has a feature called Air Dry which ensures that the baby's bottom is well ventilated. This would keep her fresh.

Huggies Little Snugglers feature a wetness indicator that would be useful for timely changes. You wouldn't want your baby to be wet for a long time because not only does it make her smelly it may also cause some infections to her genitals.

Luvs Premium Stretch Diapers feature a cottony soft fabric that's also fresh smelling.

Different diapers go for different babies. Some babies may have problems with some diapers because some diapers include semi liquid components that could affect the baby's skin. If this is your first time in getting a disposable newborn diaper, try to experiment with a few of each brand and see which one suits your baby best. You'll know for sure by taking into account whether the baby's skin reacts naturally to it. Convenience is also something that you should look into. Some diapers may be cheap, but have substandard quality that often leads to leakage or the breaking of the less durable components like the strap.

One more thing to consider when getting a newborn disposable diaper is the material that composes the strap. Some diapers feature straps that are made of thin plastic. Most of the time these kinds of strap are as thin as paper. Therefore whenever the baby's skin gets in touch with the sides of these straps, they tend to have something akin to paper cuts on their legs. Looking at the picture of the baby and the strap in the packaging could give you an idea of how it would look like when your baby wears it.

In the end you have the sole prerogative to find which disposable newborn diaper suits your baby best. Choose well and you and your baby will have lots of fun for many months to come. For more reviews and diaper discounts go to http://newborndiaper.info.

Potty Training Videos - How They Can Boost Your Child's Success

Potty training videos are very beneficial when toilet training your child. There are many to choose from. They are geared to motivate and encourage children to use the potty.

Some training videos even help educate children in the basic bodily functions they use to go potty. Most include music and songs. It has been proven that children respond well to music when learning. Not to mention that it just makes learning more fun. Some videos are animated while others use real babies and toddlers to capture your child's attention.

Most potty training videos have additional segments for parents. These segments include important tips and instructions for parents to help them choose the correct form of potty training for their child.

We all know that children tend to imitate what they see. That is why it is so important that parents guard what their children watch on television and in movies. It is no different when teaching them to go potty. Children will want to imitate what the children are doing in the videos because they will see that it helps them become a big boy or girl. They will also be convinced that it feels better to be nice and dry than to have on a wet or messy diaper. Some videos even model for them the appropriate toilet skills needed to use the potty.

Some toilet training videos have been around for a long time, like "Once Upon a Potty" (for him or her). This one is a classic. Many parents and toddlers have watched this video together to help succeed at potty training. Another neat video is called "The Magic Potty Bowl" This video is useful to parents who want to skip using potty training seats and start using the big toilet right away. This idea may not work for every child, but the video helps to encourage children not to be afraid of the toilet. Another adorable potty training video is "Go Potty Go". This video is described as being for tiny toddlers. It is to help them learn what they need to know to go to the potty by themselves. The silly songs, stories and games are meant to be interactive with your child to motivate him or her to be successful at using the potty.

As you can see, there are all different types of potty training videos. These are just a few favorites. Using a video to help encourage your little one to use the potty is a great idea. It could make the entire process easier for both of you.

Click on this link, Potty Training Videos, to see more videos about training your child to use the potty. You can also find more helpful tips and useful tools by checking out this site, Potty Training Seats.

Potty Training and Bedwetting - Common Problems

Many parents that visit our website Potty Training and Bedwetting Solutions ask us the same questions on an almost daily basis. Here are the most common problems during Potty Training as well as some solutions:

You Don't Know What Kind of Words to Use. Your child should clearly understand what "pee," "poop," "dry," "wet," "clean," "messy," and "potty" mean. Teaching your child these words and routinely using them during the potty training stage.

You Don't Know How to Reward a Child. Praise or reward your child for cooperation or any success. All cooperation and efforts should be praised. For example, you might say, "You are sitting on the potty just like Mommy," or "You're trying real hard to put the pee-pee in the potty." If your child urinates into the potty, you can rewarded them. Although a sense of accomplishment is enough for some children, others need treats to stay focused. Treats like raisins, animal crackers, fruit slices and cookies or stickers, as well as praise and hugs. Big rewards (such as going to the candy or ice cream store) should be reserved for when your child walks over to the potty on her own and uses it, or asks to go there with you and then uses it. Continue to praise your child frequently for dryness and using the potty.

Your Child Doesn't Recognize the Need to Urinate. This is normal. Some children don't gain complete bladder control for many months. With bedwetting this can last even longer.

A Toilet Is Not Available. Your child will need to learn that before a long trip, to try and use a bathroom to go potty, even if they don't really feel a strong need at the time. In many cases a bathroom will not be available or just not close enough, when it's really needed, so you should teach your child to urinate outdoors. This may come in handy for other occasions. When learning to potty train, your child may not and it is not recommended to hold urination. This isn't a problem for little boys, but little girls must learn to squat so their feet and clothing are out of the way. You can help your daughter by showing her the appropriate position and physically supporting her as she squats.

Your Child Tries to Play With the Feces. This simply stems from curiosity. Be understanding, but firm, and without upsetting your child communicate by simply saying, "This is not something you want to be playing with."

Your Little Boy Insists on Sitting Down to Urinate. The majority of boys will want to sit while learning to potty train. After learning to urinate sitting down, and when he has mastered bladder control, communicate by explaining to him that he is a big boy and can go potty standing up. He may pick this up on his own, or as he sees his daddy or other male friends or family members going to the bathroom.

Your Child Resists Going to the Potty. Resistance usually means, it's possible that it's just not the right time to start potty training. In cases where your child is older than five years old and you observe your child seems to need to urinate or have a bowel movement, try taking him to the potty. Keeping your child seated on the potty for only a few minutes at a time, and communicating with your child what it is you want to happen and why. Be casual and calm toned with your voice. If he protests strongly, don't insist.

Your Child is Having Accidents. Accidents happen a lot in the beginning of the potty training stages. Most children have accidents, and bedwetting is considered common even after six to eight months. After an accident occurs, remember to stay calm and treat them lightly and try not to get upset. Punishment and scolding will often make children feel bad and may make toilet training take longer and create feelings that your child can not handle at this young age.

Your Child Gets Upset When Stools are Being Flushed Away. Some children believe that their waste is part of their body. A child usually feels very scared and frightened in this stage. It's a hard thing for them to understand. Communicate with your child the purpose of body waste, and the body's need to eliminate it into the toilet. Try having your child say "good bye poop", while flushing and easing the stress with a happy toned voice. Or try hand waving good bye to their own poop. This can reverse the reaction to a positive one, and can make a fun game.

Child's Bowel Movement Occurs or Urinates Right After Being Taken Off the Toilet. This happens early in the potty training stages. It really takes time for your child to learn how to relax the muscles that control the bowel and bladder. If this happens a lot, it may mean your child is just not really ready for potty training. Try again in a few weeks.

Your Child Asks For a diaper When a Bowel Movement is Expected and Hides or Stands in a Special Place. Your child has the ability to briefly postpone urinating or having a bowel movement. They may go off and hide and come back wet or soiled, or may wake up from naps dry. This indicates there is physical readiness but, may not be emotionally ready to be potty trained. This is not a failure to potty training, this lets you know that your child is recognizing the bowel signals. Think positively and keep suggesting that he or she have the bowel movement in the bathroom on the potty.

Urination While Sleeping. Nap-time and nighttime bedwetting Bedwetting Solutions training will take a little longer. Encourage your toddler to use the potty immediately before going to bed and as soon as they wake up. Communicate to your child that in the middle of the night if they have to use the toilet, they can call for you or get you up to help them go to the potty at night or nap time.

Going to the Potty With One Particular Person. This is very normal with most children. If your child will only go potty with you, gradually withdraw yourself from the process. You can offer to wait with your child, and help get them undressed, or walk your child to the bathroom. But wait outside the door and pop your face in and out of the bathroom just enough times so that your child knows you are real close if they need any help.

Regressing Back to diapers. Anything that causes a child stress may encourage the return to a previous level of potty training development, particularly if the change is recent. Stress can include so many things like an illness, new baby, or a move to a new house. Stress in your child's life now days is considered normal in most children. What can stress your child may not stress a another child. Stress can be as simple as changing a daily routine.

Don't Begin Potty Training Until Your Child is Clearly Ready. Readiness does not just happen; it involves concepts and skills you can begin teaching your child.

Helpful Tips on Adult Diaper Changes

It is quite common for many adults to experience bladder control problems as a result of age and other factors. Adult diapers are vital for these people to enable them to maintain their dignity and somehow live normal lives. Additionally, some pregnant women wear adult diapers at some point in their pregnancy when the baby in their womb would press down on their bladder causing a discharge.

When To Change An Adult Diaper

It is good hygiene and health practice to change a soiled diaper as soon as it gets wet or stained. Wearing a wet one for an extended period results in the formation of bacteria that cause not only bad odor but also diaper rashes. To avoid this unpleasant situation, the diaper should be changed without delay. People who wet their beds and need to wear diapers should change or have their diapers changed as soon as they are awake. Some adults can change their own diapers while others require help to accomplish the task. Disabled persons may need assistance for a change of diapers.

How to Change an Adult Diaper

Changing the adult's diaper is similar to changing a baby's diaper, although a little more complicated. First, you have to be sure the diaper is the proper size. You should be able to close it and fit firmly at the waist. A well-fitting adult diaper will ensure comfort to the wearer and prevent leaks during use.

A stained adult diaper is removed by unfastening the sticky or Velcro tabs, just as you would baby diaper. The difference with an adult's diaper is that you don't just pull it off from under the wearer. Extra care must be observed when changing adult diapers to avoid further inconvenience. Useful pointers can help you on the proper procedure of changing an adult diaper:

* Gently roll the diaper wearer on his side. Fold the diaper properly inward to make sure that the wetness or stain is secure on the inside of the fold and there is no possibility of unfolding.

* Slowly roll the wearer to the opposite side to free the diaper and gently pull it out. To make sure the diaper comes out easily, roll the wearer as far as possible to sufficiently expose the diaper before pulling it out from under him.

* After removing the soiled diaper, use either a baby wipe or warm water and soap to clean the wearer's bottom thoroughly. Applying baby powder or mild lotion on the diaper area can soothe the skin and prevent chafing.

* To put on a fresh adult diaper, simply roll the wearer to one side and place the diaper under him. Slip the diaper as far as possible while making sure both secure tabs can be closed evenly.

* Gently roll the wearer again to the opposite side and pull the diaper and while making sure it is sufficiently centered and will not cause discomfort to the wearer. Fasten both tabs securely once you are sure the wearer is comfortable with the fit.

Changing an adult diaper requires skill, but with sufficient practice combined with the right attitude, efficiency in the task can be achieved in due time.

Cloth Diapering on a Budget

diapers are one of the most expensive costs of having a baby. When you consider the number of diaper changes a baby goes through in one year you quickly realize how much money you will be spending on disposables. Raising a baby is expensive and if you can cut costs by using reusable and environmentally friendly diapers then why not? The fact is cloth diapering your baby is simple, fun and cost saving. It is also a healthy alternative to disposables especially if your baby suffers from frequent skin rashes from the frequent use of disposables.

Average Number of Daily Diaper Changes

* Newborn babies go through 10-12 changes per day
* Babies 3-6 months go through 8-10 changes per day
* Babies 7-11 months go through 6-8 changes per day
* Babies 12+ months go through 5-6 changes per day

One of the quickest and easiest ways to save money when you have a baby is to use cloth nappies. Using cloth nappies can save you between $600-$800 dollars in the first year. If you have additional children and cloth diaper them as well you can save even more.

Cost of Diapering a Baby on a Budget

The cost of cloth diapering your baby depends on the type of diapers you choose and how many you purchase. For those parents on a budget prefolds and contours are the least expensive way to go. Bummis and Kissaluvs are the two most popular brands for prefolds and contours.

A package of six prefolds will cost approximately $23.00 while a package of six contours will cost approximately $48.00. Newborns require between 24-48 cloth nappies and if you want to diaper on a budget then prefolds and contours are the least expensive way to go.

When using prefold or contour a diaper cover is required. Bummis, Kissaluvs and Thirsties are excellent brands that make some of the best diaper covers available. You will require 3 diaper covers which cost $11.00 to $14.00 for each diaper cover.

There are also a variety of diapering accessories that can be used to make cloth diapering a little easier and more convenient. Diaper bags, wet bags, diaper wipes, inserts, liners and doublers are optional items that can be used when diapering your baby.

The Least Expensive Way to Cloth Diaper a Baby

If you are looking to invest in the bare minimum then three dozen prefolds, three diaper covers, one wet bag and six liners or doublers are an ideal investment. Fitted, pocket and all in one diapers are a more expensive option but are also very convenient and easy to use.

Another way to save money is to look for gently used or pre-used diapers. You can usually buy them for half the price of new ones and save even more money. Simply wash them in hot water several time using a natural dye free and fragrance free laundry detergent.

Cloth diapering is not an expensive investment and will save you hundreds of dollars over the course of a year. In addition to being a great cost saving investment, cloth diapers are also great for the environment, easy to use and great for your baby's delicate skin.

2007 Girls' Goodnites

Series Info: - Diapers From 12 Angles - Season 1 "Episode 0" (Pilot) - 2D Version Girls' Huggies Pull-Ups Goodnites slideshow in 2D. The Goodnites pictured in this slideshow are from 2007, and feature the "Ballerinas for Girls" design. I highly doubt you'll still be able to find these on shelves anymore. This a 2D version of the "pilot" episode for this series that I uploaded in 3D last fall. Viewers without 3D glasses should noticed that the 2D images look a bit less fuzzy in the 2D-only version. I've also added information about the series name. Please note: This is a slideshow, as such it lacks sound and should be considered a "silent film," however if you have a suggestion for an Audioswap background, I'm more than willing to listen.
