Baby Doll Toys Suitable For a Toddler

Baby doll toys for toddlers are plentiful but which ones are the best and will last the longest. Baby dolls for little children need to be durable with no small parts that can fall off. Baby will most likely be put in the mouth so only older toddlers should have baby dolls that have hair. There are plenty of dolls on the market that your child will love.

Little girls like to be like mommy and sometimes little boys like to join in taking care of a toy baby. Toy baby dolls can do some wonderful things these days. You can change a wet diaper, you can feed it a bottle where the milk actually looks like it is being drunk, you can feed dolls, dolls can cry and talk and sometimes even look like they are trying to walk.

Madame Alexander is known for the collectible dolls but the company also makes a plastic doll that is suitable for toddlers. It is all plastic and dressed with a pink headband, white shirt and pink pants. The doll is called Baby Cuddles and she certainly is at 14 inches high. She does not do anything special and does not need batteries but a young toddler will love to hold and hug her.

Wild Planet makes a cute baby doll called Water Babies and is about 9 inches tall. She is dressed in a pink sleeper and hat. You can fill her up with warm water and she feels like you are holding a really baby. The substance the doll is made of is soft and does not feel like plastic. The doll can go in the bathtub with the child or in the pool. She comes with a funnel useful to fill her, a teddy bear that you can also fill with water, a bottle, diaper and a book.

Baby Alive has been around for a while and is still a favorite of many young children. If you squeeze her bracelet she will start to babble like a real baby. She comes with diapers, tee shirt, rattle and bottle and has to be equipped with 4 AA batteries. Interestingly enough while changing the diaper the baby can have an accident that might get the changer a little wet.

Cabbage Patch Kids dolls make a newborn doll just perfect for the toddler. The doll is 14 inches and has a soft body with a plastic molded head. You can change her clothes although they are sold separately. The doll comes with a bottle, storybook, a finger puppet and has its own birth certificate and adoption documentation. There are all different kinds of Cabbage Patch dolls so you can pick from a variety.

Toys 'R' Us has a nice doll for toddlers called You and Me Baby Doll. The doll has a soft body and there are so many accessories it can make your head spin. The doll is 16 inches high and has plastic molded legs, arms and head. She has comes with a matching bottle and car seat that can convert into a doll carrier or doll bed.

When dealing with a toddler the simpler the doll is the better. Pretty soon they will want those dolls they see on TV that talk, crawl, walk and giggle. At first a simple doll is the best while they learn what to do with it.

Baby doll toys [http://www.babydolltoysprices.info] and accessories make good gifts for both children and collectors. A baby doll toy [http://www.babydolltoysprices.info] or plush always looks cute resting on a bed or shelf.

Top Myths About Cloth Diapers

Yes, there are people out there who prefer to cling to the adage that if something is too good to be true, it probably is. While this mantra may hold weight when it comes to things like get rich quick schemes, with regards to cloth diapers it's a safe bet that these wonders are very, very good. Still, some parents are reluctant to try them, and deliver any number excuses. Let's take a look at the top five and see how they stack up against parental concerns.

1) Cloth diapering isn't really cost effective. It's natural to check the prices of an individual cloth diaper and suffer mild sticker shock. When you're shopping for diapers for the first time, you'll see one cloth priced around fifteen to twenty dollars as opposed to 20-30 disposables for the same price and think you're getting the better deal if you buy the latter. Think harder about it, and you'll realize you can buy ten cloth diapers for about two hundred dollars, and those disposables will cost much more over three years as you buy box after box to keep your baby dry.

Yeah, yeah, we're ready for the "but the cost of cleaning and the water bill" argument. Of course, you're not going to toss a diaper loaded with baby poop in the washer. However, taking a few seconds to wash off the excess (usually with a quick dunk in the toilet) and running a small load may not make so much a difference in your water usage. Talk to anyone who uses cloth, and do the math to see how it can work in your favor.

2) I can't use cloth diapers on my baby at night, they won't work.  Really, now? Makes you wonder what parents did back in the day before disposables were invented. Certainly they didn't have their babies sleep in an empty tub, or set them on some kind of contraption that captured all the icky stuff.

Your baby can wear a cloth diaper at night, and you won't wake in the morning to a horrible mess. When you use a pocket diaper with a good cover, perhaps doubling on inserts if you think there will be heavy flow, you'll find your baby is just as dry as he would be with a pair of Huggies. If you're thinking of transitioning and this is the deal breaker, buy one with a few inserts and give it a night time test drive, and gauge the results from there.

3) We can't travel with cloth diapers, it's such a hassle. Again, you have to wonder how our forefathers managed to expand to the west coast if they couldn't move their families due to such concerns! Whether you're going away for the weekend, or embarking on a lengthy vacation, don't feel you have to make a temporary move to disposables to make the trip easier. You can store all the baby's essentials in your travel bag, just make sure you bring along a special wet bag for the soiled cloths and some detergent. Thanks to technology it isn't difficult to track down a Laundromat if needed, and hotels do offer laundry service. Be resourceful and do your research before you leave the house.

4) I'll just have to buy more anyway as my baby grows. Well, maybe, maybe not. It is possible you may need to replace a cover or two as you go along, but if you know where to shop, you'll be surprised to know that some brands are actually adjustable. The covers feature snaps that fit to your baby, so when he grows, you simply use different snaps. Brands like bumGenius!, FuzziBunz, and GroVia offer diapers one could feasibly use from birth through the potty training years.

5) All those soiled diapers are going to stink up the house. No lie, even if you buy a pail for disposables and use a scented liner, you still risk a stench. So don't think that cloth diapers are any worse; in fact, you can head off the problem with a good pail, strong liner, and scented inserts that handle the odor. You likely will not wash diapers daily, but you can keep a pail around for several days until it's time to do a load without needing a gas mask to enter the nursery.

When you think about it, too, five dirty cloth diapers as opposed to twenty disposables...which do you think will stink more?

Any more arguments against the cloth alternative? Before you doubt, try them out!

Babies Diapers From Their Point of View

From a baby's perspective, no diaper is a good diaper.

Newborns especially object to imposition of babies diapers. They have been blissfully buoyant and deliciously naked for most of their lives. Consequently, diapers impress newborns as the only phenomenon stranger and more unexpected that the pull of gravity on their tiny limbs. Even without benefit of language, newborns manage to express their dissatisfaction; especially newborn boys have perfected the art of demonstrating their pique, seizing the moment of an old diaper's first release to help mom and dad "face the facts."

As babies begin pulling themselves from sitting to standing, and as they take their first tentative, dazzlingly acrobatic steps, they find diapers even more cumbersome. Cloth diapers especially shift a baby's center of gravity, making her prone to unplanned seat drops-absolutely no fun; isn't there supposed to be a pad beneath this carpet? Even the best-fitting elasticized leg- and waist-bands constrict and constrain babies' otherwise graceful movements. According to babies, they would model-walk and do ballet if you just would liberate them from the uncomfortable wads between their legs and around their waists. And when diapers get wet, or worse, when they get soiled, forget about it: totally embarrassing and flat-out annoying.

From baby's perspective, cloth diapers are just the worst. Organic, old-fashioned, all-in-one, or birch bark, cloth diapers do nothing for a baby's comfort or her style. Even in a two-layer system, wet cloth diapers weigh a ton; they especially make baby bottom-heavy, and even with the best absorbent liners, they are uncomfortable. Someone's respectable study claimed babies who wore cloth diapers completed toilet training seven to ten months before babies who wore disposables. Discomfort has its benefits, and the baby's perspective emerges clearly: Wouldn't you feel anxious and eager to abandon those soggy impediments as soon as you could? Have you ever worn soaking wet Levi's 501's for a couple of hours? It is horrible. Wouldn't you want to gain some autonomy and independence, happily outgrowing abject dependence on your parents and other adults for your personal hygiene needs?

Choosing the best babies diapers, try to meet her half-way, reconciling your needs with her desires: "Pocket" diapers weigh the least, fit the best, stay dry the longest, only occasionally leak and blow-out, and come in a rainbow of high-fashion colors, a dazzling array of fashion-forward prints, a stunning collection of absolutely adorable styles. If baby cannot be blissfully naked, at least pocket diapers empower her to make a strong fashion statement.

Five Easy Steps to Using Adult Diapers

Those who use adult diapers have varying levels of incontinence problems. Some users experience occasional wetting or urinary incontinence while others face serious issues. The frequency of the problem will determine the type of diapers for adults that you will use and the frequency that you must change the undergarments.

Step One

The first step when using adult diapers is to find the product that meets your needs. Incontinence pads may be all that is necessary for a mild bladder control problem. Handicapped patients or those with severe conditions require absorbent adult diapers that may need to be changed by health care workers. When selecting your incontinence products, choose one that is as inconspicuous as possible while still providing the absorbency that you need.

Step Two

Incontinence pads and liners can be carried with you when you are away from home. Make sure that you use a portable product for those times when you are away from home. Choose a product that can be easily changed while you are out of your house.

Step Three

Look for self care products to go along with your incontinence products. Those who suffer from incontinence as adults can suffer from the same skin irritations and rashes that babies and children do with diapers. There are cleaning products that can be stashed in a purse to carry along with you as well as creams and lotions that will help heal a rash or skin irritation.

Step Four

Change your adult diapers often to prevent skin problems. While many of the products on the market are very absorbent, you should still strive to remove the wet product away from your skin as soon as possible. Changing your adult diaper quickly will also help you to feel fresher longer. The adult diapers are designed to absorb urine leaks, but you will feel less than fresh when you are wearing a diaper for too long.

Step Five

If buying adult diapers is too embarrassing for you, order online. There should be no shame in purchasing diapers for adults, but many people feel too embarrassed to buy the products that they need. Online shopping allows you to get the products that you need delivered right to your door in discreet packaging. Remember, these products provide you with the flexibility and freedom that you need with an incontinence problem.

As you use adult diapers and experiment with different products on the market, you will discover the ones that work the best for you. It may take some time to find the right brand and absorbency that meets your needs. Incontinence problems may become worse as you age and your needs may change. Medications and surgical procedures may also help your incontinence issues and allow you to use a different product. Monitor how well the products you are using are working for you and explore new options when you find your needs are not met.
